eCommerce Executive - Full Time
A rare opportunity has arisen to join our small eCommerce team at one of the UK’s leading online independent furniture retailers.
We are looking for someone who is able to work independently and as part of a team at our modern office in the Cheshire countryside.
You will need to be efficient and productive in a fairly informal work environment and in return you will be rewarded with a competitive salary and a great benefits package.
It may take some time to bring you up to speed with the way we work and there will be a significant amount of data entry initially as part of this role, however as your time at the company
progresses you will be involved in more in-depth marketing processes.
Job Purpose:
The eCommerce Executive role will be to support the daily activities of the eCommerce department. From ensuring product listings are updated and accurate to helping with day to day housekeeping such as adding purchase orders to our inhouse stock system to trouble shooting listings across a variety of sales channels. Focus and attention to detail is also a key requirement as is having the confidence to ask questions about established processes and procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
Product Management: Assist in managing the product lifecycle, including updating product listings and working with product ranging and supply chain teams to help manage product inventory. This includes managing product attributes, categories, and specifications to ensure consistency and accuracy.
Upsell Products: Add additional products a customer may also be interested in to a product listing.
Content Updates: including product titles, descriptions, dimensions, weights, volumes, images, and prices, to maintain accurate information across all ecommerce platforms.
Support Online Strategy: Support the overall online strategy by collaborating with other team members on projects and initiatives designed to drive online growth and customer engagement.
Conduct Competitor Analysis: Play a part in the ongoing competitor analysis and identify any suggestions on product price changes.
Trouble Shooting: Help investigate any issues with systems, products and channels as part of every day house keeping
Auditing Product Offering: Undertake regular checks of products and categories across all channels to ensure all products are accurate and appealing
Maintain and Update Internal Spreadsheets: We have a number of in house Spreadsheets we use on a daily basis, occasionally we will need to update these with new products or amend existing ones.
Essential skills/experience you’ll need
Basic understanding of what influences decision making when people order online.
An appreciation of the challenges of selling furniture online.
Numerate and strong data-analysis orientation
Commercial acumen.
Comfortable using spreadsheets
Desirable skills/experience you may have
MS Excel / Google Sheets
Magento 2 exposure
Photoshop
Google Merchant Centre / Ads / Analytics - a bonus
Prior experience in ecommerce, retail, or digital marketing, this could be unrelated to a degree and been through personal interest.
Exposure to / familiarity with a Customer management system / Product information management / Inventory management systems
Pay: £26,000.00 per year
