2017 is set to see some fun and stylish trends for the home that will create cosiness and luxury within your chosen interior space. FURRY FURNITURE is a trend that is making its way into the spring interior season and is sure to create visual style and comfort in both modern and classic homes. A combination of metal, wood, metal and plastic frames can be partnered with soft furs in a wide variety of colours to co-ordinate with your interior colour scheme.
Chairs and sofas are an obvious choice for creating a furry furniture design in your home. For a sleek and modern designer feel then opt for a copper, chrome or rose gold framed chair that can be upholstered with a simple black or white heavy pile fur to create a luxurious finish that works perfectly in living room and bedroom interiors. For a more cosy and classic design then select a solid oak armchair that can be upholstered with some rich cream, brown or fox coloured furs to create a cottage or lodge inspired look. If you prefer a soft and feminine design then select shimmering clear glass, Perspex or mirrored seats and upholster in elegant pastel pink, blush or dusty rose fur for a soft and delicate home interior.
While furry surfaces may not seem a practical choice for a coffee table or dining table, that does not mean you cannot accentuate your tables with a striking fur base or legs that will create an artistic focal point in the centre of your living room or dining room. For a crisp and modern feel then select a clear glass or plastic table with a square or orb shaped furry base that will create a fun and contemporary feel in your home. If you prefer a more cosy, log cabin inspired design then select some solid oak tables with large chunky legs that can be wrapped in rich cream and brown fur fabrics for a rustic and homely finish.
Benches, footstools and pouffes make a great addition to any interior space and can be used as functional or decorative furniture items. For a chic and feminine feel that works well in a bedroom or dressing room interior then select a shimmering gold, copper, chrome or mirrored bench that can be upholstered in soft grey, white or blush tones furs to create a luxurious space to sit and relax. A cosy and rustic living room area can be given a warm and textural finish with a large square or round furry pouffe or footstool that can be upholstered in deep brown, fox, or cream coloured fur for a classic and traditional feel. Alternatively upholster in a sleek black or grey fabric for a more modern masculine feel.
If you have limited space then there are lots of ways to incorporate smaller furry furniture items into your chosen interior space. Small stools can be displayed in decorative areas of the home and can be used as small side tables to display a lamp or lantern to create a warming and inviting feel in your room. Opt for chunky log style stools with grey, white or cream fur tops for a classic, rural design. For a funkier, retro feel then opt for large overhanging floor lamps, or vintage table lamps featuring simple white fur shades or pastel pink furs for a subtle yet striking visual finish.
