We offer 3 Types of Delivery:

1) Free 2 Person Delivery

Free 2 Man Delivery to room of choice is made using our own in-house trained delivery team (this does not include unboxing, packaging removal or assembly is required).

We offer a Premium Delivery upgrade for a small fee on this delivery service where you can select to have your furniture unboxed, packaging removed and furniture assembled if required. This can be selected at checkout.

This delivery includes:

  • Free Delivery is made by our own in-house trained delivery team.
  • Boxed furniture is delivered to a room of your choice (access permitting).
  • We will give you a 3 hour delivery time slot 2 days before delivery.
  • We will call you 30 mins prior to your delivery.
  • For a small fee we can unbox, remove and recycle your packaging (priced at checkout).
  • For a small fee we can assemble your furniture if required (priced at checkout).

You can select your delivery day at checkout. In order for us to be able to offer Free 2 person delivery we have to deliver in geographical areas of the country on set days, (these are marked as the Free delivery days on our delivery calendar). We strive to continually reduce our carbon footprint wherever we can and therefore our delivery routes are planned for maximum efficiency to reduce the amount of miles driven.

2) Express 2 Man Delivery

Express 2 Man Delivery is available on a weekday of your choice for a small charge per product.

This delivery includes

  • Delivery to a room of your choice (max 2 flights of stairs and access permitting).
  • Your items will be unboxed and packaging will be removed and recycled.
  • Assembly (if required) is not included in this delivery service.
  • You will receive a 3 hour delivery time slot on the evening before delivery.
  • You will be provided with a delivery tracking link.
  • Driver will call you 30 – 60 mins prior to your delivery.
  • Delivery is made using specialist 2 Man Delivery company.

Express Delivery is only available for addresses within mainland England, Wales & Southern Scotland. Excluded Scottish postcodes are: KY, FK, PH, DD, AB, IV KW, PA, KA27-28.

3) Free Next Day Parcel Delivery

We offer a Free Next Day Delivery service using DPD couriers on our smaller items of furniture (i.e. bedsides, stools, scoop dining chairs etc)...

This delivery incudes

  • Delivery to the entrance of your home.
  • You will receive a delivery time slot on the day of delivery.
  • You will receive a tracking link on the day of delivery.
  • Delivery is made using DPD local couriers.

If you order a small item as part of a larger order that contains a larger item of furniture then we will combine the delivery of all your items and deliver them together using a 2 Man delivery service.

Is delivery always free?

We always offer a free delivery option for every product we sell. Free delivery methods are either Free 2 Man Delivery which is when our own in-house delivery team are delivering in your area or DPD Couriers (for small items).

For a small fee you can upgrade your Free 2 Man delivery to our Premium Delivery service which includes room of choice delivery, packaging removal and recycling and assembly of any furniture if required. You can upgrade to this Premium Delivery service at checkout.

We also offer an Express 2 Man Delivery service for a small charge per product which gives you the flexibility to select a delivery date on a weekday of your choice. Very large products and Scottish postcodes with prefix: KY, FK, PH, DD, AB, IV KW, PA, KA27-28 are excluded from this Express 2 Man Delivery service.

Can you unbox and assemble my furniture?

Yes if you select our Free 2 Man delivery service for a small fee that is quoted and selected at checkout you can upgrade your delivery service so we will unbox your furniture, assemble your furniture if required and then take away all of the packaging for recycling. The cost of this service is based on the amount of items you order and complexity of removing and recycling packaging and assembly time if required. This is a recommended service for the eco-minded customer as our furniture can come with plenty protective packaging.

If you select an Express 2 Man Delivery service then this includes unboxing and packaging removal, it does not include assembly if required.

What days and times do you deliver?

For our Free 2 Man delivery service we deliver Monday to Saturday from 7am to 9pm depending on your location. We deliver in certain areas of the country on set delivery days. We will also give you a 3 hour delivery time slot two days before your delivery and also call you 30 mins beforehand on the day of your delivery. You can check the available delivery days for your area by entering your postcode into our delivery postcode checker on our product detail pages and at checkout.

If you select our Express 2 Man delivery then your delivery times can be within the hours of 7am – 9pm (you will be provided with a 3 hour time slot on the evening before your delivery day).

If you are having delivery by DPD couriers then delivery is on a weekday of your choice between 8am to 6pm. On the day of your delivery you will also be provided with a delivery time slot and tracking link so you can track the progress of your delivery.

Can I request a delivery day?

Free 2 Man delivery is only available in certain areas on certain days, this is because this delivery service is made using our own in-house delivery team on the days we are delivering in your area.

We offer an Express 2 Man delivery service on a weekday of your choice. This is charged per product and is only available on certain sized product. Very large products are excluded from this service.

DPD Parcel deliveries can be made on a weekday of your choice.

Can I request a delivery time?

Sorry no, this is because we plan our delivery routes in geographical order so they are as fuel efficient as possible ensuring we are keeping our environmental impact to a minimum. Therefore we are unable to take delivery time requests. However you will be issued a 3 hour delivery time slot three days before your planned delivery date and on the delivery day our delivery team will call you approximately 30 minutes prior to their arrival. If you would like our drivers to carry out any special instructions then please advise us of these when placing your order or by calling our customer service team on 01829759259.

If you have selected an Express 2 Man Delivery service then you will be issued with a delivery time slot on the evening before your delivery day and you will also receive a delivery tracking link.

Do I have to wait in all day for my delivery?

No you don’t, for all our 2 man deliveries you will be given a 3 hour delivery time slot in advance to your delivery day. Your delivery drivers will also call you 30 – 60 mins beforehand on the day of your delivery.

If you are having a parcel delivery then you will receive a DPD tracking email and text providing you with an expected delivery time.

What happens if I miss my delivery?

It depends on the delivery method you have chosen.

If your delivery is by our Free 2 Man delivery service then we will post a card through your letterbox. This will ask you to call us to re-arrange another delivery date. The next available delivery date will be when we are next delivering in your area.

If your delivery is being made by DPD then you will also receive a missed delivery card and email and they will try and deliver the following day.

If you have paid for an Express 2 Man Delivery service and you are not in to take delivery as planned then they will return your order back to their depot pending instructions for a re-delivery date. Please note that you will be liable for the re-delivery cost at the same rate as originally charged, this is because the Express 2 Man Delivery courier still charges us per delivery attempted whether or not you are there to accept the delivery. If you are unable to take your delivery as planned then please contact us by 11am on the weekday (Monday to Friday) before your scheduled delivery date. Any cancellations after this time will still be charged at the original delivery charge amount as your goods would have left our warehouse.

Can I change my planned delivery date?

If you would like to change your delivery date then please contact us by 11am on the weekday (Monday to Friday) before your scheduled delivery date. Any cancellations of planned Express 2 Man Deliveries after this time will still be charged at the original delivery charge amount as your goods will have left our warehouse.

What areas do you deliver to?

We only deliver to mainland addresses in England, Wales & Southern Scotland. As indicated in green on the delivery zone map. We do not deliver to North Scotland or any off-shore islands. Do you deliver outside of the UK?

Sorry but we do not deliver overseas. We can however deliver to a mainland port in England, Wales or Southern Scotland if you want to arrange your own shipping from there. If you require any advice on shipping companies for off-shore islands then please email us at: info@thefurnituremarket.co.uk and we will do our best to advise you.

Can I collect my order?

Yes you can collect your order from our warehouse in Cheshire. If wanting to collect your order then please call us on 01829 759 259 to arrange the collection date and time so we can have your order ready for you. The person that placed the order must collect the order and provide identification.

Can I send a courier to collect my order?

We always prefer to deliver our furniture ourselves that way we can guarantee a safe delivery. However if you want to send an external courier you must pay for your order via bank transfer as we cannot be responsible for any damage caused by a third party delivery company.

Can I change my delivery address after my order has been placed?

Yes we can change your delivery address providing the person who placed the order authorises this change of delivery address. If you would like to change your delivery address then please call us on 01829 759 259 to arrange. If you have taken out finance on your order then a change of address must be approved by V12 Finance prior to any delivery taking place. Please note we cannot change your delivery address within 2 working days of a planned delivery date.

What happens with my delivery if part of my order is out of stock?

If you place an order for an out of stock item along with an item that is in stock then we would automatically combine your order to make a single delivery once the out of stock items are back in stock. This is because we want to reduce our carbon footprint and not make more deliveries than necessary. If you would prefer to take delivery of the in stock item in the meantime then please call us on 01829 759 259 and we can arrange this no problem.

How long will delivery take if the item I ordered is out of stock?

If you place an order for an out of stock item then the expected due back in stock date will be advertised on the product listing. We will contact you to arrange delivery once we receive the item back into stock. We will also keep you updated should there be any changes to the due back in stock times.

Can you hold onto my order until I am ready for it to be delivered?

Yes no problem, please just advise us when ordering that you would like to delay delivery until you are ready.

What if my furniture does not fit into my property?

Our delivery team are very skilled and you will be surprised how good they are at safely delivering furniture into rooms with tricky access points. However on rare occasion large items of furniture simply will not fit due to tight access points in your home, if this happens then your furniture will be returned with our delivery team and you will be given the option of a replacement product or refund.

If you are aware of any difficulties that our delivery team may face when delivering your furniture then please let us know in advance to your delivery by emailing us at: info@thefurnituremarket.co.uk (ideally if you can send us photos showing any tight access points in your home we can advise you in advance if the delivery will be possible).

Why has some of the packaging been removed from my furniture?

To ensure our high quality standards are maintained we often do a pre-delivery quality inspection prior to an item being loaded onto our vans for delivery. This is to ensure there is no damage and the item is of a high quality standard as expected. To do this properly we need to remove all the original packaging, inspect and then package it back up securely. If you see your furniture has been delivered outside of its original box then do not worry as it has been quality checked prior to delivery.

Can you remove my old furniture?

Sorry we cannot remove your old furniture as we do not have the recycling facilities for this.

How eco-friendly are your deliveries?

We have introduced a fleet of the latest Renault Lo-Loader vans that are specially designed for efficient furniture deliveries. The engines are now Euro 6 and use Ad-Blue to reduce emissions. They are light and fuel efficient so it helps us reduce our environmental impact. Electric vans are now being explored to further reduce our carbon foot print.

We have invested in delivery route planning software to ensure maximum delivery route efficiencies (i.e less miles driven = smaller carbon foot print per delivery). We also use the latest driver analytic software to ensure our vans are driven safely and efficiently.
